An off-duty NYPD officer was reportedly stabbed in Queens Saturday night.
Police said the stabbing occurred at around 9:30 p.m. in the East Elmhurst neighborhood, WABC-TV reported. Officers who arrived on the scene found the off-duty officer with a stab wound to his left arm.
Police have a suspect in custody. The suspect was also injured. The suspect and the wounded officer were taken to Booth Memorial Hospital, the station reported. Both were expected to survive.
The identities of the officer nor the suspect have been released.
Police were still searching for a motive behind the stabbing.
